Almost dramatic and still poetic - the imposing thermal canyon walk path leads to the Dala gorge.
The path leads 600 meters into the gorge, the force of the water is almost within reach, along mossy rock faces, until you reach a 35 meter deep waterfall. After coming out of the gorge, you have the possibility to organise a lunch or dinner with Valais specialities. Time:

Leukerbad has more than 60 km of hiking trails.
The best-known trail is surely the classic Gemmi hike across the Gemmi pass, along lake Dauben to Sunnbüel and then down to Kandersteg by cable car. A historical route is the cultural trail "Dala-Raspille" which takes you from Leukerbad to the wine-growing village of Salgesch.
2 hours before sunrise the ropeway will take you up the mountain where you can go on a guided hike to the Torrenthorn (3000 m.a.s.l.). Fortified by hot tea you will see the first rays of sunshine on the Valais Alps and the unique Rhone valley. Afterwards you can enjoy the sumptuous breakfast buffet at Rinderhütte restaurant. Time:
